Closed Captioning Expectations

System Requirements

Closed captioning will be available to turn on only during live speaker sessions. They cannot be enabled in Exhibitor Booths or while in the Social/ Networking Lounge at this time. Accuracy in ideal conditions can get up to ~95%, but that rarely happens in realistic scenarios. On average the accuracy of live transcription in realistic usage comes to be ~85%, and ranges between 78% to 92% based on various factors such as - 

 * Speaker accent and dialect 

* Distance and quality of the microphone

* Quality of the audio - Sample rate and encoding of the audio stream

* Network conditions”
